As a result of his decade-long research on grids and security systems, among other iconographies found in the urban environment, the artist develops sculptures and installations bound to interaction, to be set in motion by the audience. In this core of his production, an association between the issue of violence and the formalist worry with structural balance is made. In the exhibition, Raul Mourão’s notorious geometric sculptures, whose effortless swing creates the impression of being in a floating state, were displayed in both small and large scale.
